LINDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, NJ -- On January 16, students in Mrs. Megan George’s Probability & Statistics class took probability off the page and put it into action with 𝘼 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 -- an interactive, student-designed learning experience.

Students created carnival-style games, calculated the theoretical probability of winning, and then invited visiting classes to test the odds. Every outcome was tracked, turning each toss, spin, and roll into real data.

As the games played out, students compared predicted outcomes with actual results, collecting experimental probability they’ll now analyze back in class. Along the way, they explained concepts, adjusted assumptions, and demonstrated mastery through application, not memorization.

𝘼 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 highlighted what happens when students take ownership of learning: math becomes active, engaging, and real.

On January 16, Linden High School students didn’t just study probability. They experienced it.
