Orelien said Day 1 focused on introducing the district-wide implementation of K–12 Benchmark Assessments for Multilingual Learners. The training emphasized the use of data to guide instruction, allowing teachers to identify student needs and target supports more effectively.

Through discussions, collaborative planning, and interactive activities, educators explored ways to deliver high-quality, data-driven instruction that promotes academic growth and equitable learning opportunities for all multilingual students.

On Day 2, the focus shifted to tiered intervention strategies using the LinkIt platform. Educators were trained to use the platform to analyze student performance and plan targeted interventions at multiple levels of support.

The training also highlighted the growing role of AI tools in education, demonstrating how these resources can be integrated into lesson planning to enhance student engagement, differentiate instruction, and make learning more accessible.
