senior banquet

Forget the Oscars. Linden High School’s Class of 2025 handed out the real awards on June 13—like 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙥𝙡𝙚 —as they gathered at The Westwood in Cranford for a glamorous night of glitz, gossip, and just a pinch of senior-year flair.

𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞-𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The annual senior superlatives, a time-honored Linden tradition going back generations, gave students one last chance to crown their class royalty—with zero campaign speeches, talent rounds, or awkward interviews required.

For each superlative, students voted for one male and one female classmate to take home the title, celebrating the boldest, brightest, funniest, and most fabulous personalities from both sides of the aisle.

Adding to the night’s sparkle were several 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 who came to celebrate alongside the students, including 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙩𝙞𝙮𝙖 𝙔. 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙖 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙨, 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙆𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙐𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚, 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙆𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨—each offering cheers, smiles, and well-wishes to the graduating class.

And the WINNERS are...

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱

𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙮𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙮 were voted the dream team most likely to shake things up on a global scale. Whether they run for office or revolutionize science, their classmates believe the world better brace itself.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁

𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙅𝙧. 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙝 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙧𝙖 didn’t just wear orange and black—they were orange and black. From pep rallies to hallway energy boosts, their school pride was legendary.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

𝙎𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙤𝙟𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝘼𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚 brought charm, positivity, and “good vibes only” to the Class of 2025. They could turn any Monday into a good day.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲

Style icons 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙇𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙞𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙯𝙖𝙧 never met a mirror they didn’t love—or a hallway that didn’t double as their personal runway.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰

From game-winning plays to sprinting through gym class like it was the Olympics, 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙅𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙞𝙠𝙖 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙡 made sweat look cool.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝘂𝗼

Besties 𝙔𝙖𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙣 were practically telepathic. Always in sync, always laughing—these two could finish each other’s sentences (and snacks).

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵

If you ever heard 𝙅𝙖𝙬𝙤𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙊𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙤 𝘾𝙪𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙨 laugh, chances are you laughed too—and had no idea why. Their giggles were pure happiness on loudspeaker.

𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻

𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙅𝙧. 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙔𝙖𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 had one goal: keep the class entertained—and judging by the votes, mission accomplished. Who needs stand-up when you’ve got these two?

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴

No one was safe from a warm smile and a big “Hey!” from 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙖 𝙍𝙪𝙞𝙯. They made every hallway feel like a red carpet.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲

𝘼𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙤 𝙎𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙨𝙤 could brighten a room just by walking in. Their smiles had that magical ability to make teachers forget about homework.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 -- A tie

In a rare twist of romance, the vote ended in a tie—because how could the class possibly choose between J𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙖 & 𝙈𝙮𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙨 𝘾𝙪𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙨 & 𝙅𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙡? Both couples gave us serious #relationshipgoals

The superlatives may have been lighthearted, but they carried the weight of real appreciation, connection, and Linden pride. The banquet wasn’t just a chance to celebrate—it was a night to reflect, laugh, and say one final “we made it” before graduation.

Sure, there were no gold statues or red carpets—but with unforgettable memories, inside jokes, and some seriously well-earned bragging rights, Linden’s Class of 2025 walked away with something even better: a moment in the spotlight before the tassels turn and real life begins.

🎓 Next stop? June 24 at Tiger Stadium. Graduation awaits. And yes—this class is ready.
