At McManus Middle School, unity and cultural pride took over the field during Diversity Day, a high-spirited celebration organized by Mrs. Penarandaโs heritage and 8th grade honors classes, along with the Spanish Club and Diversity Club.
The event welcomed participation from special education classes, French honor students, and members of the African American Club, reflecting the district-wide commitment to cultural appreciation. The MMS Tiger News Crew was on site to capture every exciting moment of the 20-station experience.
Students found themselves in a variety of activitiesโfrom common games and lively dances to hands-on crafts, global music, and delicious international treats. The energy was contagious, the smiles were bright, and the learning was meaningful. Through each station, students celebrated the unique traditions that make every culture special.
Mrs. Penaranda shared a heartfelt thank you to all who made this day a success. Diversity will always circle back to us all being one and the same. Let this be a powerful reminder that unity thrives when we honor our differences.
