LINDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, NJ -- Linden High School’s 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬: 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 took the stage for a second spectacular night on Friday (March 28)—and once again, the auditorium was buzzing with excitement and packed to capacity. But this time, the spotlight wasn’t just on the stage—it was also on the overwhelming outpouring of love and support from the crowd.
𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰-𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞, captivating the audience with her powerhouse vocals, sharp comedic timing, and commanding stage presence. It was a performance that not only wowed the crowd—but made her parents, Derek Armstead Mayor of Linden and First Lady Dannie, beam with pride. They attended opening night and plan to return tonight (march 29) for the finale.
𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧, bringing heart, humor, and a relatable depth to the role of the sweet homeschooled girl turned high school queen-in-training. Her onstage journey had the audience rooting for her every step of the way.
🎶 “𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲,” “𝐀𝐩𝐞𝐱 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫,” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 “𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬” lit up the stage, supported by fierce choreography, a polished ensemble, and electric energy from start to finish.
The auditorium was filled with friends, family members, and classmates of the performers—many of whom could be seen showering the cast with hugs, kisses, and flower bouquets after the show. The sense of school spirit and Tiger pride was contagious.
