LINDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, NJ -- The Linden High School Varsity Bowling team rolled through the competition this season with precision, power, and an undeniable passion for the game.

𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬, the Tigers delivered an outstanding 90-15 game record, finishing with an impressive 14-1 overall record. Their only loss came in the final stretch against Roselle Park, but by then, the Tigers had already cemented themselves as a dominant force in high school bowling, climbing as high as 20th in the state rankings on NJ.com.

𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬
This season’s success was a collective effort, with each bowler bringing their unique strengths to the lanes.

𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧) – The undisputed leader of the squad, Nieves bowled with remarkable consistency, averaging 213 for the season. He racked up an astonishing 27 games over 200, including two phenomenal 279 games. His dominance on the lanes earned him the Union County Conference’s "Bowler of the Week" honor for Dec. 7-12, a testament to his skill and leadership. With performances like these, it’s no surprise that Damian is now preparing to take on the best in the state individual tournament.

𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐢 (𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫) – A powerhouse on the team, Paladi finished with a stellar 202 average and delivered some electrifying moments, bowling 24 games over 200 and recording a near-perfect 297 game. His exceptional play earned him the Union County Conference’s "Bowler of the Week" honor for Jan. 2-9, highlighting his continued excellence throughout the season.

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐬 (𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫) – A steady and reliable bowler, Moss wrapped up his season with a 167 average, proving to be a key contributor to the team’s dominant run.

𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐨 (𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫) – Another consistent performer, Remelgado posted a 161 average, showing skill and dependability throughout the year.

𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳 (𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞) – The newest member of the squad, Gonzalez made incredible strides in her first year of bowling. She started the season bowling in the 80s but showed rapid improvement, consistently hitting scores of 130 or higher by the end of the year.
