The Student Services department at Linden Public Schools plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all K-12 students across the district. Central to its mission is the management of anti-bullying initiatives, including compliance with New Jersey's Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) policies. The department works proactively to ensure that every student feels safe and respected, implementing measures to address and prevent bullying behaviors. In addition, Student Services collaborates with families, staff, and community organizations to provide educational resources and training focused on empathy, respect, and conflict resolution.
Beyond anti-bullying efforts, the department addresses a wide range of student-related matters by connecting students and families with critical resources. These include access to LGBTQ+ support groups, mental health services, substance abuse counseling, and the 2NDFLOOR Youth Helpline, which offers confidential, 24/7 assistance to New Jersey youth. Additionally, Student Services partners with local and county organizations, such as the Union County Youth Services Commission, to offer programs tailored to the diverse needs of students, ensuring every child in the district has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Please submit any HIB family/caregiver forms and/or HIB concerns to the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator
